Whitestone Cheese tasting and/or factory tour
Established in Oamaru in the 1980s, Whitestone Cheese is now New Zealand’s most awarded cheesemaker, producing a wide variety of European-style cheeses using the area’s incredible cow’s, sheep’s and goat’s milks. The small factory is located right in Oamaru, where they offer both cheese tastings and twice-daily factory tours (and the factory tours end with tastings, with an optional accompanying flight of local wines).
